Rep. Ro Khanna criticized Rep. Ilhan Omar's past remarks regarding white men, asserting their significant contributions to American freedom. On the Politicon podcast, Khanna distanced himself from Omar’s view, suggesting white Americans have played essential roles in historical events like the Normandy landings. He urged Democrats to adopt a more positive narrative about America, referring to it as the greatest and least racist country. The discussion comes in the wake of Omar’s controversial comments on white nationalism, which have received both public and political backlash, highlighting ongoing debates surrounding race and identity in America.
