Motive still a mystery in Trump assassination attempt, FBI says
Briefly

The FBI has been able to gain extensive analysis on the mindset of the suspected shooter who attempted to assassinate former President Trump at a rally.
Investigators found that Thomas Matthew Crooks engaged in a sustained effort to plan an attack and became hyperfocused on the Trump rally once it was announced.
In the month leading up to the attack, Crooks conducted over 60 searches linked to Trump and Biden, including specific searches about the rally.
Crooks’ online activity revealed multiple searches related to explosive devices, such as ‘How to make a bomb from fertilizer,’ pointing to premeditated intentions.
