"Kansas children will die if this becomes law," said Senate Democratic leader Dinah Sykes. 'Their decision to ban medically necessary, safe, effective health care is going to cost Kansas kids their lives.'
"This bill places politicians' feelings above the expert medical advice of hundreds of thousands of doctors, and strips patients and families of their ability to make informed healthcare decisions," the ACLU of Kansas said.
