Gov. Tim Walz has acknowledged discrepancies regarding his trips to China, claiming 30 visits while the actual number is about 15, prompting questions about his past statements.
Walz, who taught in Foshan shortly after the Tiananmen Square massacre, led annual student trips to China starting in 1993, revealing a complex relationship with the country.
"I got there that summer and misspoke on this," Walz said, admitting to confusion over his visits and remarking candidly, "I'm a knucklehead at times."
