Aaron Bushnell, a 25-year-old active-duty member of the U.S. Air Force, set himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington Sunday to protest Israel's assault on Gaza and U.S. support for the military campaign.
Bushnell's friend and conscientious objector Levi Pierpont stated, 'We have to honor the message that he left,' emphasizing that Bushnell's death was meant to raise awareness about the genocide in Palestine.
