Eygi was killed on 6 September as she took part in a protest against settlement expansion in the West Bank. Israel acknowledged that its troops shot the activist, but claims it was an unintentional act.
Joe Biden called the killing of Eygi totally unacceptable and demanded full accountability, emphasizing that Israel must do more to prevent such incidents in the future.
The White House has still not called for an independent investigation into Eygi's killing, despite calls for accountability from various officials and Eygi's family.
