"We are proud to introduce you to our great-grandson: William Brannon Neal, IV," Jill Biden wrote in the caption of the Instagram post announcing the new family member.
"The good news is, I'm a great-grandfather as of today," Biden told reporters during a briefing, expressing his joy over the birth of his great-grandson.
Naomi Biden expressed her closeness with her grandfather, noting, "It's always been this way... They were at every sports game and our school plays. We still do the same things."
William, born at 10 pounds, four ounces, is the first child of Naomi Biden and her husband Peter Neal, marking a new chapter for the Biden family.
