Building a Solidarity Economy in the South (and Beyond)-Cooperation Jackson - Non Profit News | Nonprofit Quarterly
Briefly

Our mission is to build a vibrant and ecologically regenerative solidarity economy in Jackson, MS, preemptively pushing towards a democratic transition to eco-socialism.
The Jackson-Kush Plan is a comprehensive strategy aimed at building economic and political power for Black working majorities through dual power methodology and community-driven initiatives.
We emphasize building independent people’s assemblies, which hold governments accountable and address community needs through mutual aid, thereby creating a direct link between grassroots movements and policy influence.
Solidarity economy tools are essential for transforming regional economies, socializing production means, and ensuring that the Black working class's needs are central to the economic dialogue.
