For anyone who understands the role of the free press in a democracy, it should be troubling that President Biden has actively avoided questions from independent journalists during his term.
Mr. Biden has granted far fewer press conferences and sit-down interviews with independent journalists compared to his predecessors, significantly less engagement noted.
That's why the White House Correspondents Dinner should not be taking place the rudeness and standoffishness of this administration with questions, press conferences.
