On The Breakfast Club, a federal employee criticized her peers regarding Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency's (DOGE) email, which required employees to justify their jobs. While many callers expressed concern over the mass layoffs hinted by DOGE, the Florida woman referred to the email as a valuable chance for federal workers to demonstrate their contributions. She argued that workplace accountability is typical in private sectors and chastised remote workers for allegedly using devices to fake productivity, emphasizing the accountability owed to taxpayers funding their salaries.
I got the email and I honestly feel like this is a great opportunity to outline what you as an employee bring to the company... If it's really good what you outline they can give you an opportunity to get a promotion or something.
God forbid they ask you what you’ve done. Any other job, they'll ask you at the end of the week, at the end of the month.
People are actually buying [devices] and using it and not working. And this is our taxpayers' money, and you have to work.
