Black poverty, unemployment set record lows on Trump's watch - and on Biden's, too - Poynter
Briefly

Trump achieved the lowest African American unemployment rate and the lowest African American poverty rate, but those records have since been surpassed under Biden. The Black poverty rate hit a record low in 2019 during Trump's presidency and has fallen further under Biden to 17.1% in 2022.
The slow decline in Black poverty since the 1960s has been attributed to expansions of Social Security, improved job access, and higher education from the Civil Rights Movement. Poverty fell more for Black and Latino people due to safety net programs since 1970.
