As Team Trump cracks down on border, get set for ever louder squals of outrage
Briefly

The Department of Homeland Security has launched a revamped app, now called CBP Home, allowing illegal immigrants to announce their intention to leave the U.S. This app replaces the previous version, which helped migrants schedule illegal border crossings. The change is seen as part of a broader strategy by the Trump administration to rectify perceived issues in U.S. immigration policy. Critics, including Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, claim such measures detract from addressing crime, while supporters emphasize the app’s potential to reduce illegal crossings and ensure compliance with immigration laws.
Now it has become CBP Home - an app those here illegally can use to notify the feds of their intent to depart the country, i.e. self-deport.
After Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's talk of the Trump border crackdown as somehow "taking attention, focus, real dollars and real resources" away from fighting unspecified crimes, Homan explained: "That means I'm over the target. That means I'm making a difference."
