Two Arizona Supreme Court justices, Justices Clint Bolick and Kathryn King, who recently voted to re-implement a territorial-era abortion ban from 1864 may potentially be removed by voters this fall through a retention vote system in Arizona.
All four justices who supported the re-implementation of the 1864 abortion law were appointed by Republican governors, and the upcoming election gives Arizona voters the chance to have a say in whether these justices should continue serving on the Supreme Court.
