Vehicles, mailboxes and homes struck in reported thefts in Los Gatos
"PETTY THEFT: 8:03 a.m. on Terrace Court. A community mailbox was sifted through around 6:340 a.m. The suspects used a key to open the mailbox. The caller's neighbor at 27 Terrace Ct. had video of the theft. VEHICLE TAMPERING: 9:53 a.m. on Thomas Drive. On Dec. 30 at 4:26 a.m., three men damaged the lock to the caller's vehicle and ransacked the glovebox. It is unknown what was taken. The suspects also rummaged through his unlocked van, but nothing was taken."
"VANDALISM: 3:47 p.m. at Aventino Apartments on Winchester Circle. A caller said that the gas cap to their white Ford E350 van was damaged a few weeks ago. They noticed it was damaged again on Sunday and can be set up for gas to siphoned from the tank."
"PETTY THEFT: 8:46 p.m. on Bruce Avenue. A caller said they left their truck unlocked and noticed some items missing from the center console and back seat. They said they have some camera footage and that the theft happened sometime early Sunday morning."
On Jan. 2 a community mailbox on Terrace Court was sifted through around 6:340 a.m.; suspects used a key to open the box and a neighbor recorded video. On Dec. 30 three men damaged a vehicle lock on Thomas Drive and ransacked the glovebox; an unlocked van was searched but nothing was taken. On Jan. 3 a Sharon Court home was found with the rear sliding door open and the interior ransacked; four or five pieces of jewelry were reported missing. On Jan. 4 a white Ford E350's gas cap at Aventino Apartments was vandalized again, and an unlocked truck on Bruce Avenue had items taken; camera footage exists.
