Law enforcement has made some great progress in disrupting ransomware groups and getting help to victims, but seizing an onion site and servers without being able to arrest the leaders and those involved leaves them able to regroup, rebrand, and code new lockers.
And given the size of LockBitSupp's ego, it's likely they will re-emerge as just a new version of LockBit. Will they try to take revenge for law enforcement's actions and posts? It seems likely to DataBreaches.
