King & Spalding, a leading American law firm, has expanded its international footprint by acquiring Saudi Arabian law firm Al Fahad & Partners. This merger, announced recently, will operate as King & Spalding Al Fahad, bringing 17 legal professionals on board, including the founder Abdulaziz Al Fahad. With Al Fahad as chair and Fahad Alarfaj as managing partner, the merger aims to provide clients with a "differentiated offering" and consolidates King & Spalding’s presence in the Middle East, particularly in Riyadh.
K&S chairman Robert Hays said the combination would give clients a "differentiated offering," reflecting the firm's strategic ambitions to enhance client services globally.
The merged firm will operate under the name King & Spalding Al Fahad, integrating key partners from Al Fahad & Partners into leadership roles.
