Mr. Kearney's actions were unacceptable and repeated and constituted a breach of the BSB Handbook. This conduct is not compatible with the standards expected of the profession.
The first tribunal concluded he should be disbarred before he had the chance to represent himself, acknowledging the likelihood of repeat offenses.
After acknowledging apparent bias in the initial ruling, the tribunal permitted an appeal, which ultimately led to Mr. Kearney's second disbarment.
Three cheers for due process and kicking predatory behavior out of the profession. The justice system demonstrates accountability for inappropriate conduct.
