
"Jan. 14 Reckless evading: At 1:52 a.m., deputies responded to an automated license plate reader notification for a stolen license plate at Saratoga Avenue and Highway 85. An investigation revealed the plate was stolen from a vehicle in San Jose and was still outstanding. Deputies located and attempted to stop the vehicle a short time later, but the driver did not yield and recklessly evaded, and the pursuit was ultimately terminated in the interest of public safety."
"Jan. 15 Auto theft: Between 5 p.m. on Jan. 14 and 6 a.m. on Jan. 15, someone stole a vehicle from the driveway of a residence in the 13000 block of Beaumont Avenue for a loss valued at approximately $10,000. Jan. 16 Vandalism: Between 1 p.m. on Jan. 15 and 10 a.m. on Jan. 16, someone pried open nine mailboxes in a bank of mailboxes for residences in the 15000 block of Madrone Hill Road. The total amount of damage was estimated at approximately $250."
"Jan. 13 Attempted residential burglary: At 11:45 a.m., two suspects broke a window and attempted to gain access to a residence in the 20000 block of Miljevich Drive but fled the scene when they saw the victim in the home. Jan. 18 DUI, injury collision: At 6:43 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle collision at Prospect Road and Lawrence Expressway. An investigation revealed the motorist was driving under the influence of alcohol. The suspect was arrested and booked into main jail."
Between Jan. 12 and Jan. 18, multiple incidents occurred in residential and commercial areas. On Jan. 12 a Braemar Drive mailbox was broken open (about $400 damage) and a Safeway shoplifting involved approximately $131 in stolen merchandise taken about three months earlier. On Jan. 13 two suspects broke a window and fled during an attempted residential burglary on Miljevich Drive. On Jan. 14 deputies responded to an ALPR hit for a stolen license plate; a vehicle later recklessly evaded and the pursuit was terminated. Between Jan. 14–15 a vehicle was stolen from Beaumont Avenue (about $10,000 loss). On Jan. 16 nine mailboxes were pried open on Madrone Hill Road (about $250 damage). On Jan. 18 a motorist was arrested for DUI after an injury collision at Prospect Road and Lawrence Expressway.
