Michael Kelley, a 54-year-old American man accused of murdering Kerry farmer Mike Gaine, will appear in person at Tralee District Court next week to be served with the book of evidence. Kelley appeared by video link from Cork prison this week and was told the book of evidence was ready. The court presenter said the book of evidence was not ready that week and requested Kelley be brought before the court in person next week. Kelley was charged in February with the murder of Mr Gaine at the victim’s farm in Carrig, Kenmare between March 20 and 21, 2025. He is represented by Kerry solicitor Pat Mann. The case was adjourned to next Wednesday, May 27.
