PC Alex Law, 43, admitted two counts of indecent assault on a girl under 10 in 1996, but his past only came to light when the victim reported it in December 2022. Law was jailed for two and a half years but initially granted anonymity at a Met Police misconduct hearing, later named by The Journal.
The victim decided to speak out after recognizing Law in a photo wearing the Met Police uniform. Law was swiftly dismissed from the force after being named, with Met Police highlighting the importance of removing unfit officers.
