Kyndryl sued for firing non-white workers, disabled vet
"were unlawfully fired as part of Kyndryl's efforts to eliminate foreign-born, non-white, disabled, and older workers from its work force, and replace them with younger, white, non-disabled, American-born workers."
"identified Kyndryl employees who were using Kyndryl systems to access unlawful, sexually explicit material, including bestiality,"
"made light of his findings by cracking 'Dr. Doolittle' jokes at staff meetings,"
Five former members of Kyndryl's internal IT security team filed a lawsuit in the Southern District of New York alleging they were terminated on the basis of race, national origin, age, disability, and whistleblowing. The lawsuit follows EEOC complaints and right-to-sue procedures after administrative remedies were not resolved. Plaintiffs name Aaron O'Reilly, Rahul Bakshi, Mustapha Salaudeen, Wai Tam, and Rishidhar Vangapelly and allege that leadership replaced a non-white, foreign-born VP with two white male executives who supervised and demeaned foreign-born, non-white staff. The IT security group protects sensitive data, prevents financial crime, and serves customers including US federal agencies.
