The decline marks a 3.5 percentage point decrease since 2022, with overall summer associates of color also falling to about 38%. Nikia Gray from NALP noted that this trend indicates future hiring patterns. A conservative nonprofit has also sued firms for race-based scholarships, leading to changes in their hiring practices.
