These hotlines are still available for LGBTQ+ youth after Trump kills 988 services

The Trump Administration will close the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline's LGBTQ+ Youth Specialized Services on July 17, ahead of schedule. Congress is unlikely to reverse this decision due to the current Republican majority. Despite this closure, there are various lifelines available for LGBTQ+ youth in crisis. The Trevor Project provides support for those under 25, while Trans Lifeline assists transgender individuals. The LGBT National Hotline and National Youth Talkline also offer resources, along with the Crisis Text Line. These services cover mental health, substance use, and other crises.
