Kim Davis has requested the US Supreme Court to overturn the 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges decision, which legalized same-sex marriage nationwide. After denying a marriage licence to a gay couple in Kentucky, Davis was jailed for contempt of court. Andy Cohen used his show to confront her hypocrisy, highlighting her multiple marriages and relationship issues. He ridiculed her views on the sanctity of marriage and suggested she seek therapy, while defiantly challenging her attempts to undermine civil rights for LGBTQ+ couples.
Cohen called out Davis for her multiple marriages and alleged hypocrisy regarding her views on the sanctity of marriage, stating, "Lady, you've been married four times to three different people..."
He emphasized the absurdity of Davis's position on marriage by saying, "How about you take your bigoted, bump-it ass to therapy to figure out your relationship issues..."
Cohen used a direct display of contempt by gesturing with his middle finger while telling Davis, "Overturn this, lady," underscoring his strong opposition to her actions.
Cohen labeled Davis as "tonight's jack hole" and used his platform to directly challenge her attempts to undermine same-sex marriage rights.
