Susan Powter, now 67, is a former 1990s fitness personality featured in a documentary titled Stop the Insanity: Finding Susan Powter. Powter identifies as lesbian and describes enjoying female relationships and social freedom while rejecting marriage and cohabitation. She reports preferring isolation, avoiding dating, and seeing her adult sons only occasionally. Powter married twice in the 1980s and 1990s, has three sons including one adopted in 1998, and came out around the turn of the century. Once estimated to be worth $300 million, Powter filed for bankruptcy in 1995 and currently lives in a Las Vegas apartment while delivering for Uber Eats.
