Sarah McBride actively lobbied Republican members to oppose Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's bill criminalizing gender-affirming care for minors. The House passed the measure with four Republicans voting no. A core group of House Democrats, including Equality Caucus members and House Democratic Whip Katherine Clark's team, coordinated outreach, identified relationships, held separate conversations, and shared information. McBride targeted specific Republicans who ultimately voted against the bill. The dissenting Republicans were Brian Fitzpatrick, Mike Lawler, Mike Kennedy, and Gabe Evans.
