"There's something that happened specifically in the pronoun conversation too [after the birth of his children, who were born in 2023 and 2024]. I use he/him pronouns at this point, you use she/her pronouns. Not to say that we're opposed to they/them pronouns. I just really don't care about it in the same ways that I did back in the day. Nico Tortorella, 37, is known for roles in Scream and The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Tortorella publicly identified as non-binary in 2018 and experimented with they/them pronouns. After conceiving and welcoming children in 2023 and 2024, Tortorella began using he/him pronouns again while remaining open to they/them. Parenthood and the process of trying to conceive influenced a shift in gender expression and comfort. Tortorella describes feeling more like a man than ever but acknowledges potential future fluidity and a continued lack of opposition to they/them usage.
