Ruby Corado, founder of Casa Ruby, sent $150,000 in relief funds to personal accounts in El Salvador, causing mismanagement and shutdown of the organization.
After resigning and fleeing to El Salvador, Corado was arrested in March 2024 upon her return to the U.S. for wire fraud charges related to financial misconduct at Casa Ruby.
