Stockdale Capital Partners is suing MJW Investments over allegations of artificially inflating the value of the ground beneath the Le Merigot hotel in Santa Monica to charge higher rents.
MJW Investments allegedly hired an appraiser to value the property at $62.2 million in 2020 by presenting a plan for 88 condo units despite zoning restrictions, leading to a legal dispute.
