Following devastating wildfires that destroyed thousands of homes in Los Angeles, Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture has stepped in to help by offering a fire-resistant home design for free. This initiative provides homeowners with a complete set of architectural plans, sections, and 3D models, potentially saving them on design costs. The 3,700 square feet house features an open floor plan, three bedrooms, and expansive windows, all designed with fire-resistant materials. The firm's co-founder Enrico Bonetti expressed their desire to contribute meaningfully to the recovery efforts, helping those who lost their homes.
"We were archiving unbuilt projects around the time the Los Angeles fires occurred, and we stumbled upon this concept we had for a coastal house," said Enrico Bonetti, co-founder of the firm. "We admired the floor plans and then realized that the design, typology, and materials would be highly suitable for a fire-prone area."
"We felt that we could make a small contribution to the people who lost their homes by donating this project to them," Bonetti says.
