An Annapolis waterfront estate for boaters and equestrians
Briefly

The article describes a luxurious Annapolis home with a picturesque quarter-mile driveway leading to a 10,000-square-foot New-England-style house. Set on nearly eight acres, the property offers stunning views of Little Aberdeen Creek and the South River, along with three piers and a cedar boathouse. The home features five bedrooms, extensive outdoor amenities—including a heated saltwater pool and a dock—as well as impressive interior spaces with high ceilings and modern renovations. The location is recognized as one of the most prestigious addresses in Annapolis, adding to the appeal.
"My favorite, favorite part is going out on the dock and watching the South River and all the activity on the water. Just sitting out there and watching the water go by is awesome," said homeowner Hugh Martin, chairman of the California biotech company Pendulum Therapeutics.
"This home looks like it's been here for 100 years, although it's just over 20 years old," Kappel said of the house, which was built in 2002.
The creek is deep, allowing larger boats to dock there. It's about two miles to the Chesapeake Bay, and Martin says he enjoys boating to City Dock in downtown Annapolis in about 30 minutes.
In all, the house has five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two powder rooms. The kitchen, which the owners renovated, has marble countertops.
