Pea Soup Andersen's Closes Suddenly After Almost 100 Years
Briefly

The Los Angeles Times reports the property is slated for redevelopment and the restaurant could reopen after being rebuilt, so this may not be the end of pea soup in Buellton.
The restaurant dates back to 1924 when Danish immigrant Anton Andersen bought a piece of land and opened Andersen's Electric Cafe with his wife, Juliette. In 1947, the restaurant was officially renamed Pea Soup Andersen's after Juliette's now famous split-pea soup.
