Prosecutors in western Mexico confirmed the discovery of clothing items and bone fragments at a Jalisco ranch previously identified as a cartel training site. This grim find highlights the failures of official investigations into the country’s ongoing crisis of missing persons, with over 120,000 reported disappearances. The Jalisco Search Warriors, a group of families looking for their lost relatives, made the discovery after receiving an anonymous tip, showcasing the desperation and necessity that drives family members to search for justice where the government often falters.
'This ranch served as a training site and even though it sounds awful, really harsh, for extermination,' Navarro said.
The discovery of such places has accelerated in the past 15 years as more relatives of the missing do the work the government often won't to search for their missing loved ones.
