Cary Elwes, a British-born actor who moved to Los Angeles in 1990, built a family and a Hollywood career in California. He met his wife, photographer Lisa Marie Kurbikoff, at a Malibu cookoff and married in 2000, with their daughter Dominique arriving in 2007. His film and television work includes roles in Saw, Ella Enchanted, and Mission: Impossible, and his latest role is a former cop turned private detective in Peacock’s crime thriller M.I.A., streaming now. He reflects on the devastation of the 2025 fires and expresses hope for rebuilding stronger. He would spend a perfect Sunday starting around 10 a.m. with coffee, then checking in with his wife and 19-year-old daughter about the day’s plans, followed by a leisurely lunch at Casaléna in Woodland Hills.
