Four L.A. restaurants land on the new World's 50 Best North America list
The World’s 50 Best Restaurants in North America list includes 50 ranked restaurants across the U.S. and Canada, announced at an awards ceremony in New Orleans. Nine restaurants are from California and four are from Los Angeles. Returning Los Angeles restaurants include Holbox, Kato, and Providence, alongside Atelier Crenn, Saison, and Benu in San Francisco. New entries include Somni in West Hollywood, Addison by William Bradley in San Diego, and Sons and Daughters in San Francisco. Somni is a José Andrés and Aitor Zabala collaboration with a Spanish-influenced tasting menu, reopened by Zabala as sole proprietor after four years, and recently earned three Michelin stars; Providence is also a Hollywood seafood destination. The guide is curated by over 1,000 culinary experts and has released international dining guides since 2002.
