The FDA reported an outbreak of listeria affecting at least 10 individuals in California and Nevada, all of whom required hospitalization. The investigation, initially opened last year, was reignited in April after listeria was detected in samples from Fresh & Ready Foods LLC, a food supplier based in California. Products linked to the outbreak were distributed across several states and included ready-to-eat meals provided to hospitals and other institutions. In response, Fresh & Ready has initiated a recall and implemented corrective actions.
