Minty Zhu and chef Alex Falco have relocated to Los Angeles to open their new restaurant, Men & Beasts, which debuts on June 18, 2025. After closing their award-winning Miami restaurant, they chose a location in Echo Park to focus on plant-based interpretations of Chinese cuisine. The menu features a variety of homemade vegan dishes, including noodles and dim sum. Men & Beasts will also introduce a Gong Fu tea ceremony to engage diners in a unique cultural experience centered around skilled tea preparation.
Men & Beasts focuses on reimagining traditional Chinese dishes with seasonal ingredients, a vegan lens, and an all-homemade approach, offering a unique dining experience.
Only a handful of Los Angeles restaurants offer tea ceremonies. Men & Beasts engages diners with a Gong Fu tea ceremony, following Taiwanese tea-making traditions.
