Other local matchups also featured top scorers and significant plays, including Sierra Canyon and Mater Dei winning their respective games and advancing further in the playoffs.
"It's going to be fun," Harvard-Westlake guard Joe Sterling said.
They were big, coach David Rebibo said of Sterling and Jones who combined for 43 points.
