Out like a lion: Luka totals 60 points in March, Lakers go 15-2
"I think Luka has had as good of a month as anybody that I can remember in the modern NBA, at least since I've been part of it."
"If you don't win, it doesn't really mean anything. So the run we've been on, it means a lot."
"I never did that [in the past]. I'm not the one voting ... But I think I've been playing pretty good. We've been winning."
"Don't deserve to be mentioned along with Phil or Pat [Riley] or any of those guys. I've got a lot left to accomplish for sure."
Luka Doncic scored 42 points and 12 assists in a win over the Cavaliers, marking his third consecutive 40-point game. He achieved a total of 600 points in March, joining Michael Jordan as one of only two players to reach that milestone in the month. The Lakers finished March with a 15-2 record. Doncic surpassed 15,000 career points and downplayed his MVP candidacy. The game also marked LeBron James' 1,229th career win, setting a new NBA record, and JJ Redick's 100th coaching win.
