WHL player commits to ASU, challenging NCAA
Briefly

Braxton Whitehead of the Regina Pats has made history being the first CHL player to commit to an NCAA program amid ongoing debates over eligibility rules.
Whitehead expressed confidence in the NCAA rules changing, stating, '[ASU's] slogan is 'Be the Tradition' and I think they love the idea of me being a trailblazer throughout all this.'
The lawsuit filed against the NCAA claims that their eligibility rules violate antitrust laws and seek to allow dual participation in major-juniors and college.
NCAA Bylaw 12.2.3.2 prevents players from participating in intercollegiate athletics if they have ever competed on a professional team.
