The Utah NHL team formerly known as Utah Hockey Club has officially been rebranded as the Utah Mammoth after a 13-month process that involved community voting. This new identity emerged from a series of four rounds of fan input, leading to over 850,000 ballots cast. Ownership expressed pride in this unprecedented engagement, reflecting the community's connection to the historic significance of mammoths in the region. Merchandise sales have begun, and the franchise plans to introduce a mascot inspired by the new branding in the upcoming season.
When it came to naming the team, we did something unprecedented -- going through four rounds of community voting, including getting feedback not only on potential names but also on potential logos.
The community chose the Utah Mammoth brand, and it stands as a symbol of who we are, where we came from, and the unstoppable force we're building together.
