In a statement, Woodbine Entertainment emphasized the importance of safety for both horses and participants, stating, "In the interest of safety for our horses and horse people, Woodbine Racetrack has cancelled the remainder of Saturday's live racing card due to unsafe racing conditions."
Thirteen contestants, including the champion My Boy Prince, were supposed to compete for the $1 million King's Plate, marking the 165th edition of this historic race.
Woodbine Entertainment confirmed that details on a new date for The King's Plate will be announced soon, highlighting their commitment to ensuring safety before rescheduling.
