After devastating wildfires struck Southern California, the Kings postponed a game and honored local firefighters with a tribute on their jerseys and helmets. Assistant equipment manager Dana Bryson initiated a plan to present a fire helmet to the best player after each home win, fostering a connection with the community. The initiative has correlated with the Kings winning 17 home games, helping them climb the Pacific Division standings as they strive for playoff success, emphasizing mutual support between the team and local heroes.
