Blizzard has unveiled key details about Diablo 4's upcoming Season 8: Belial's Return, launching on April 29. Building on insights from the recent PTR, the season adds innovative elements like a new type of battle pass, enhancing player freedom in content unlocking. The central antagonist, Belial, features prominently, with players encountering his Apparitions throughout Sanctuary. Gameplay enhancements include new Boss Powers, allowing players to equip various effects, and a revamped endgame boss ladder, alongside opportunities to earn faction reputation through events and interactions with NPCs.
Each power has two effects, Main and Modifier. You can equip one Main and three Modifiers at any one time, enhancing gameplay strategy.
Season 8 will see the introduction of a new type of battle pass that should offer players more freedom in how they unlock its content.
The longer you stay in the event zone and the more of them you cull, one of ten Apparition Bosses will spawn to hunt you down.
This season's major baddie is Belial, whose Apparitions have flooded Sanctuary, introducing new challenges for players to face.
