A familiar chant boomed...A cascade of awards was coming...a brilliant torrent of purple light shoot into the Sacramento skies.
The building was booming again earlier this month...But the vibes were, uh, different...There would be no joy that night...lots of muttering and scattered boos.
And now it's over...ending Sacramento's streak of playoff appearances at (sigh) one...The beam was last seen being packed in dry ice, gone till November.
