Andrew Cristall skates to the forefront as Caps lose preseason opener

For a lot of these young guys, it's their first NHL exhibition game. You have to expect there's going to be nerves there. Now they're starting the process of knocking that out.
Cristall, who is in his second training camp with the Capitals, is a long shot to make the team. Despite putting up 111 points in 62 games with the Western Hockey League's Kelowna Rockets last season, the 19-year-old isn't old enough to play in the American Hockey League.
