Yankees 2024 Infielder Slams Dodgers for 'Disrespectful' Trash Talk After World Series
Briefly

Jon Berti, former New York Yankees infielder, expressed his displeasure about the trash talk from the Los Angeles Dodgers following their World Series victory. In a recent interview, he felt the Dodgers disrespected the Yankees, implying they didn't deserve to be in the series. Berti acknowledged the Yankees' strong performance leading up to the World Series but lamented their failure to perform adequately at crucial moments. Despite the Yankees’ commendable season, he recognized the Dodgers' superiority and concluded that the Dodgers were justified in their comments post-victory.
"I don't know if I've ever heard a World Series-winning team talk as badly as they did about the World Series-losing team," Berti said on Foul Territory. "It felt like we were being disrespected to the point of we didn't even belong in the World Series."
"We won a lot of games last year. We won our division. So we deserved to be there, unfortunately, we didn't perform at our best," Berti said.
"Unfortunately we ran into a team that played better than us in a seven-game series and they deserved to win," Berti said. "So I guess they can say whatever they want at this point."
