Gavin Lux stood in at the plate for both Buehler and Yamamoto's bullpens today. He said Buehler has looked 'awesome' all winter & called Yamamoto's mix 'really nasty'. 'The little slide step he does makes everything play up. I think he's gonna have a lot of success really fast.'
As for Buehler, he missed all of 2023 recovering from his second Tommy John surgery, and won't be ready for Opening Day. However, he's clearly making progress, and will use this camp to continue to check off boxes before making a return to the mound early in the season.
