What they would like to do is add a starting pitcher, because they have questions with all of their starters in one sense or another. So a guy like Garrett Crochet would be ideal. He has an inning question surrounding him as well, but the way the Dodgers can operate their pitching staff and maneuvering different bodies, they can fit him in even if he has to go to the bullpen or pitch in a bulk role in the second half. -Ken Rosenthal, MLB FOX
Nonetheless, Crochet is the type of pitcher who could get the Dodgers over the top. He's having a career year with the White Sox, going 6-6 with a 3.08 ERA, 146 strikeouts, an opponents' batting average of .203, and a 0.97 WHIP while throwing 1,691 pitches. There's a good chance the White Sox will send him elsewhere, and expect the Dodges to be the first in line when it comes to the southpaw ace.
