Shohei Ohtani Sets Dodgers Franchise Record With Another Home Run
Briefly

With a loud crack of the bat in the first inning on Wednesday night at Guaranteed Rate Field, Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani led the game off against the Chicago White Sox with a home run for the record books. Ohtani launched a solo home run to right center field, cementing him into the franchise record books with his 10th consecutive game with a run batted in.
Shohei Ohtani is beyond unbelievable. He hit a leadoff home run for the second straight game, and now has an RBI in 10 straight games. It's his 25th home run of the season, by far the most in the NL. He has a 1.045 OPS.
Ohtani tied the previous record of nine consecutive games with an RBI held by Roy Campanella (1955), Augie Galan (1944), Eddie Brown (1924), and Bob Fisher (1913).
Entering Wednesday's game, Ohtani was 15-for-34 (.441) with three doubles, seven home runs, nine walks, 16 RBIs, and 12 runs scored in June. During his 10-game RBI streak, Ohtani has hit eight homers and 17 RBIs.
